Achievements

2010

- Completed negotiation with EMEA for product classification;

- Started development and production of Scaffolds;

- Negotiation with AIFA, Italian Ministry of Health and ISS for product approval;

- cGMP in-a-box concept and Hospital Exemption status accepted;

- Certified (ISO) animal pre-clinical trial (sheep) at Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli approved;

- In vitro and in vivo (mice and rabbits) toxicity and efficacy tests completed successfully.

2009

- Started growth trials in the bioreactor;

- Transferred into the new facilities in Udine, Italy;

- Filed patent application.

2008

- Awarded the "Mind the Bridge" Prize in the U.S;

- Completion of first generation bioreactor prototype.

2007

- 443k€ grant from the Italian Ministry of University;

- 442k€ grant from the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region;

- 124k€ research contract from the Italian Space Agency.
